It was another succesful AGM for the American Club of the Costa del Sol.  President Frazier Gardella chaired the meeting and all agenda items were presented and voted on unanimously.   One important item that was discussed in length was the 51/49 ratio of American members to associates/internationals.  Accordingly,  it was unanimously agreed to allow the Chapters to recruit members of all nationalities, as we have always done in the past, but now we are able to increase our individual Chapter membership without breaking the old rule of 51/49.  It was also unanimously agreed that the positions of President and Vice President will still be required to be filled by an American citizen or greencard holder.

All of the positions for the Central Board of Directors to be filled for the period 2011-2012 were presented and voted on unanimously (see above photo).

The item on the agenda regarding the possibility of creating a Federation was discussed in length, and it was unanimously agreed to discontinue this item and run our Club as we always have since it was created almost 37 years ago.

The meeting was adjourned and all enjoyed a wonderful lunch together.  We toasted Frazier Gardella with cava for his dedication to the American Club and for all his hard work last year.  As well,  we congratulated  our new President, David Kylen from Fuengirola.   Lots of laughs, good food and conversation amongst good friends who give their personal time to making the American Club of the Costa del Sol what it has been and what it still is today.
