Dear American Club of the Costa del Sol, Marbella Chapter Members,
Welcome to the original website of the original, now newly reconstituted, Marbella Chapter of the American Club of the Costa del Sol.
Before continuing, there is the rather somber news that Sam Sabin is in the Costa del Sol Hospital. If you wish to call Angelica, you can reach her at 952 77 38 64 or 629 29 75 54. I am sure she would appreciate your support at this difficult time.
First, our thanks and appreciation to Frazier Gardella and the members of the Central Board of the American Club of the Costa del Sol for their time, efforts and committment on behalf of the Marbella Chapter. All deserve a huge word of thanks.
Second, an Interim Board of Directors of the Marbella Chapter has been formed. They are:

Carol Lewis Treasurer & Associate Members Rep to the Central Board
Patricia Salazar Membership Chairperson
George Begley American Members Representative to the Central Board
Their responsibility is two-fold. They are to act as a nominating committee to present candidates for the six positions which make up the Board of Directors for the Marbella Chapter for the 2011 year. They are also responsible for planning the activities of the chapter until the new Board takes over.
Candidates for the Board will be presented at the luncheon on October 13, 2010. At that meeting, candidates may be nominated from the floor. Please note that any candidate put forward must have a second and the candidate must be willing to serve in the position. Any member of the chapter, in good standing, may be nominated. The one further restriction is that the president and vice-president must be American citizens or possess a green card. Spouses of American citizens are, also, considered American. Members wishing to suggest candidates should contact:

At this luncheon, reservations MUST BE MADE (AND PAID FOR!) for the American Club of the Costa del Sol Thanksgiving Celebration in November. Detailed information will be available at the October luncheon.

The Board will be elected at this Luncheon/Extraordinary General Meeting. No candidates from the floor may be nominated at this meeting. More information will be forthcoming at the October luncheon and on the website. The only agenda item for this meeting is the election of officers for 2011.
We urge all of you to consult the website www.americanclubcostadelsol.com on a regular basis. This will keep you up-to-date on the news of the Marbella Chapter and on the news from all the other chapters.
