Welcome Back from Summer Holidays! This Show was first put on in Estepona. We had a wonderful crowd of 28 of our members attend and we all sat together in a special area for "The Americans".... we even decorated our area with American Flag bunting. After the break of "Pie and Peas" the Americans joined the war and we all had our American Flags waving! It was great fun! Hope you can get a nice crowd together from your Fuengirola area. If you do, some of us here in Estepona may join you!

BACK TO THE 40s
MOONLIGHT CABARET THEATRE, BENALMEDINA
Sunset Beach Club, Avenida del Sol
Monday, 20th September 9:00 p.m.
Takes you on a trip back to an era where war dramatica influenced the lives everyone,
rich and poor, young and old alike. This show recalls the atmosphere and events of the time.
The venue is presented in true 1940s style with bunting, flags etc.
A selection of the coasts most talented vocal artistes perform live renditions of many of
the most popular songs of the time , which still live in the hearts of many of us today,
BERKLEY SQUARE, BOOGIE WOOGIE BUGLE BOY,WHITE CLIFFS OF DOVER.
and many more favorites.
As the war progresses, the involvement of the USA brings the Big Bandsound to Europe
and the introduction of Glen Millars "IN THE MOOD" is the cue to" take to the floor," with our dancers.
All performers are of course dressed in costume throughout the show.
A giant screen provides amazing visual effects throughout the entire show and coupled with
genuine film footageand sound effects of the era provides a show never before seen on the Costas.
The interval provides the opportunity to enjoy a traditional PIE AND PEA supper
(included in ticket price) and the chance to win prizes at the raffle.
The second half of the show is opened with A TRIBUTE TO THE FORCES
where special homage is paid to the Navy, Army and Air force, again showing original film footage
associated with our fighting forces.
Get your hankies ready for our tribute to THE MOVIES which is a real tear jerker!! as it takes you back
to those evenings spent at "the flicks!" all those years ago.
The show concludes with a wonderful flag waving singalong session featuring those songs which
still evoke sentimental and patriotic emotions in all of us. ( OUR VERY OWN Last Night of The Proms!)
