We are sorry to inform the Marbella Chapter's Membership that their web-page is temporarily suspended due to non-payment of any ACCS Central Board Dues for the period January - July 2010.  The Central Board was informed that the refusal of payment of these said dues was voted on unanimously by the Marbella Board and their Membership.

The Central Board would like to remind the Members that these dues in question, cover the expenses of the ACCS Website and other expenses (i.e., Anniversary Celebrations, Thanksgiving, Yearly Awards to Long Serving Members and the Paul Castell Achievement Award).  It should also be noted that the Central Board maintains a balance of 250 euros with the Consular Agent in Fuengirola for emergency assistance to visiting Americans in need.  Any surplus balance at the end of the year is always donated to Charity, as we are a non-profit organization.

As well, the request for an up to date list of paid Marbella Members has been repeatedly ignored  plus requests for Identification Documentation (passport and/or residencia) of its three Central Board Representatives.  This is required by the Junta de Andalucia.  All Membership Dues, Membership Lists and Identification Documentation for the Malaga, Fuengirola and Estepona Chapters have been received and filed.  Marbella is the only Chapter who have not complied.

It is important for all Marbella Members to be aware that their membership with the ACCS is not valid and therefore are unable to vote in any Central Board Elections.   Of course, as soon as the Central Board receives this list of paid Marbella Members along with the required ID Documents for its Representatives,  all Members will be re-instated immediately and their vote will be honored.

As well, this Web-Page will automatically be re-instated when the said Membership Dues are received by the Central Board.

If any Marbella Member wishes to discuss the above, please do not hesitate to contact the Officers of the Central Board listed below:

Regards,

The 2010 Central Board of the American Club of the Costa del Sol.
