Gordon Burgin’s keen interest in mathematics led him to study Electrical Engineering at the University of Buffalo, NY, USA. His analytical skills were honed by his career in this field. In his spare time, he also taught System Analysis and Mathematics at college level in California. Upon retiring in England, he tutored at an American High School, working in a programme designed to assist underachieving students to reach university entrance levels of education.

There he recognised the benefit of mathematical and logic problems as a learning and education tool and started to develop his own maths puzzles to use as training aids. They proved to be popular not only with the students but also friends and family.

‘U-can-do’ maths puzzles and logic problems have been designed to give your brain some exercise!  Working through the book – in whatever order you choose, will stimulate your thinking process, in doing so, it will expand the power of your mind and promote higher creativity (left brain function).  Regular brain exercise can be as beneficial for the mind as physical exercise is for the body.

To experience Gordon’s puzzle world go to his website www.gordonburgin.com  where you will find his selection of puzzles as well as his Monthly Maths Puzzle Challenge. Try my challenge and email me your results and/or comments.
