AMERICAN CLUB OF THE COSTA DEL SOL CELEBRATED THANKSGIVING 2009 IN STYLE!
 

 

It was typical American Thanksgiving again at our favorite spot, Valparaiso Restaurant in Mijas.  Raphael and his staff gave us all a Thanksgiving to remember.  We had over 170 members and guests who arrived by coach or car to meet up with good friends and some friends that they haven't seen for a while.  When the bell rang and we all went to our tables we were greeted by our new Consular General from Madrid, Peggy Gennatiempo, our Consular Agent and friend, Bobbye Aaron, our President Cristina Silva and our MC, David Kylan, who is also the President of the FMB Chapter.  The American Anthem was sung (by your Editor) and then the feast began!  Turkey, stuffing, roasted potatoes and veg, cranberry sauce, lots of wine and the grand finale....pumpkin and mince pies!  It was difficult with full bellies, but most of us got up and danced some of those calories away to the fab music and dulcit tones of the Valparaiso house entertainer, Pierce!   I can tell you that we were buzzing all the way home on those coaches!
