After we have an event in Estepona, I, John or sometimes a volunteer member, will do a little "write-up" on how the event turned out.  I thought it might be a nice touch for our members and some guests to be heard.  The following are some quotes from them and who better to get the feedback from....so here goes!

Nita Marsh wrote:  "Hurray, a huge success!  My son Roger and wife Jos, said this was the best American Club 4th of July they have ever been to!!  Let's do it again next year!!"

Sara Wynne-Hughes said:  "Well done....a total success...you should be proud!" (Sara flew in again from London just for this party, and a week with her Dad and the sun & sea  of course!)

David & Barbara Gantz said:  "Well done, fantastic night!  The party was fun...good job!

Joe Molitor wrote: "A GREAT Party - thanks to you, Brian, Pam Becque, Andree' & Frazier, et al - who contributed to such a successful event.  Helga and I had a wonderful time, and I've "revised" a popular slogan for my future use.. "If it isn't fun... I don't attend"   We'll be there ALL the time with our Chapter."

John Pease wrote:  "Outstanding" Success!!

Dagmar Vale said:  "Best American Club Party I've been to"!

Des Cohen said:
"I've been to many of these American Club events and this one was the best ever!  The beach venue was perfect and the food was great, especially those burgers!!   We had such a wonderful time.....thank you"!

Gillian & Bernard Tarry said
:  "Fantastic Night!  Where did you find that Samba Drumming Group?  Where can I get more information on them?"

Frazier Gardella said:  "The BEST American Club 4th of July EVER!!

Yasmina (daughter and drummer of Beach Bar Meher Alivio) said:    "Wow, it really all went smoothly...people had so much fun! Great Party!"

Pamela Becque wrote:  Congratulations to the "A" Team.  That was the night that was!  Fun people, great food, wonderful and exciting live music, and a super bonfire all put together by our very own gorgeous guys and dolls.  Here's to a repeat next year!

Alan Abbott said:  "What a night!  A real success...congratulations to Estepona" (of course along with Alan's usual 3 kisses!)

Brian Buckley said:  "What a wonderful beach!  I never knew this place existed!"

Peter Brooks & Peter Arnott wrote:  "Thorougly enjoyable 4th of July!"

Colleen Van Houten wrote
:  "You put a mountain of work into making it a special evening...well done!!

And one final quote from me:
"Sometimes we ask ourselves....Is it worth all this hard work....I guess the comments above and more that have come in from emails and phone calls tell us the answer is...YES!!!"  Thanks to the Estepona "A"Team", with special thanks to the following:

Andree Gardella for working so hard with me to do all the shopping for the burgers, hot dogs, plates, condiments, etc., etc.  Also we both hand-made all those burgers....60 of them!!

Sara Wynne-Hughes for shopping and carrying all those decorations all the way from London, as well as helping us hang them!  She also served the complimentary beers.  Sorry Sara, I guess you thought you were on holiday!!

The Estepona Burger Boys, Frazier, Brian & Alan Askey....Great Job!

John & Evelyn Pease for their very hot and spicy onions which were a great addition to the hot dogs and burgers!

Joe Molitor for taking all our wonderful photos...and a special thank you from me for that "Born in the USA" dance together

Jim & Helen Kelly
for their German Sausages....yum!

Brian & Alan Askey (and Darrin from the Beach Bar)  for the magnificent bonfire!  What a beauty it was!

Pamela, Alan and moi,  for the music CD's which got us all dancing...especially "Born in the USA"!

Alan Abbott for helping to guide people on where to park on the beach.  Also thanks to Brian for having the tow rope and Land Rover to pull one of our guests out of the sand!!  Luckily, there was only one that night!

Pamela and Diane for their usual "meet and greet"

And last, but most importantly:

Andree and Frazier Gardella for making the most beautiful American Flag Cake ever!!  You are both hired for every year now!!

Here's to next year!!!
