We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day to enjoy the wonderful views of the beautiful village of Casares.  When we first decided to have our April Luncheon in Casares, we did worry a little about how many of our members would drive to Casares for lunch.  Well, it was a wonderful turnout of 70!!  We were so pleased to have over 50 of our own members and their guests, along with a very nice group of our good friends from the Marbella Chapter. 

The owners, Marie-Cruz and Paco, welcomed us with cava on their terrace which was made even better by the addition of our new friend "Pedro" who serenaded us with his spanish guitar and entertained us with his gregarious personality!  The "comida casera" was "muy rico" and everyone left with full bellies. 

Special thanks go to Frazier and Andree Gardella for introducing us to this wonderful new addition to our list of restaurants.  Andree has known the owners and their family for a very long time and we thank her for working with Marie Cruz and me on the menu and for her creative colored menu cards.  Always we want to thank all of our helpers....Pamela for the time she puts in on taking all your reservations and menu choices.  A little apology for her hard work on seating arrangements which had a little "hiccup" but it all worked out fine in the end.  Also to Evelyn & Diane for the sale of the raffle tickets, Frazier for the wonderful tent cards on the table with the prices of drinks, and Brian for his fantastic photos (see them in the Gallery).
