It was a pleasure to return to one of Estepona's favorite spots in old town Estepona yesterday and it really proved the theory...."it ain't just about the food, it's really about the people". Now don't get me wrong, as the "menu del dia" offered at Rafaels is very good indeed and for only 10 Euros!!  I personally recommend the stuffed red peppers with seafood as a starter...yummy! Main courses were good with choices of lamb, pork or boquerones, which I heard were excellent. As well, the desserts were lovely and you could see spoons across the table as people were sharing the three choices and not knowing which was the better of the three!

The "Estepona Buzz" was at it's best and though we had 66 members, guests and some friends from Marbella, at times the noise sounded more like 300 people!

Thanks and congratulations go to Pamela for organizing a really nice afternoon for everyone.  As well, I know that I am partial, but what an amazing job Brian did on that slideshow!  Apologies, however, to the round table in the back which seemed to be a bit removed from the rest, but thanks to Nita for asking Brian to move the projector, so that they could see the slideshow too.  We hope that helped a bit.

Thanks as always to our "raffle ladies", Evelyn & Diane.  It wouldn't be a lunch without them!  Frazier, as always, made the 50/50 fun with his typical enthusiasm and Marty and Barbara did a great job "meeting & greeting" but especially collecting the outstanding dues, which now brings us up to date.

We have received so many nice compliments and the overall consensus I believe is that we are a fun, social, great bunch of people. On to April in Casares, where we hope to see most of you again.

Oh yeah!  Almost forgot to say....We welcomed in 6 New American Members and 9 New Associate Members!!!
