WELCOME to two new members at FMB........ Barron Harper and Dr Maurice Silver

SUVI who comes to visit us from the foreigners department of Fuengirola Town Hall at least twice a year to keep us up to date on any info that may have changed and may be of interest to those living in the Fuengirola area, didn't disappoint us.

If your native country is outside the European Union, you must renovate your registration each two years.  Take a copy of your passport or driving license plus a notice such as an electricity bill to prove where you live.

For those who have not registered and are thinking of doing so,it may be very worthwhile as the Town Hall are giving everybody a discount on their bills.

We will pay 30% less on our car road tax.
30% less on IBI ( annual property rates)
                     30%Less on Basura collection

To register go to the back entrance of the Town hall between 9 am and 1pm. At the right hand side you will see the office called ESTALISTICA who will help you register. Take a number first for the queue.

If you have any problems, Teresa, of the foreigners department on the top floor will be pleased to help you.  Suvi urges everyone to register as the Town Hall receives a sum of money from the State for each person registered.  The state gives the Town Hall 110 euros for each person registered.

Barron Harper  gave a talk at Regina's on U.S. tax returns. Barron has taken over from Charles Ricksecker, who used to do preparation of tax returns for American citizens living in Spain. Located mainly in Portugal and France,he also has many clients in Brazil, Venezuela,Vietnam etc. and of course Spain. Tax returns must be accurate. DINNER PARTY AT DALAL AND RALPH'S

March 14th was the date when some friends gathered round the dinner table at the Ridha residence. Dinner was served. (sorry!! "feast" would be a more appropriate description)

For those of you who have experienced Dalal's fabulous home cooking, you will know what I mean when I say how "Yummy" it tastes. On this occasion she prepared tasty international dishes, enough to feed a regiment, and it was simply delicious.   Lots of wine and happy conversation with lots of laughter added to a special day to remember.

Thank you Ralph and Dalal, the perfect host and hostess, for inviting us to your beautiful home and taking such good care of us.

CASA RUSTICA

Thursday March 26th was the day we lunched at Casa Rustica in Fish Alley. A good turnout came to visit this popular "family run" restaurant.which has a pretty Andaluz patio to the rear..  For 11 euros, we had an excellent menu choice and good food served by the staff who gave us a lot of good humoured attention.

Everyone left happy and content. This restaurant is on the list, by popular vote, to visit again in the near future.  Thanks go to Peter for the recommendation.

BISTRO ROUGE

Bistro Rouge was also an extremely good outing. Recommended by Gay.  Tables beautifully set with fresh flowers on deep red coloured table covers. French spoken, which was great for Jackie, who enjoyed a nice conversation in her native language. It was so relaxing to sit on the terrace of this lovely new restaurant on the Paseo Maritimo, enjoying the warmth of the sun and watching so many different nationalities walking by, while eating good food and enjoying each others company. We shall do it again soon.

FILM SHOOT AT MARBELLA

David, Anne McGeeghan (Marbella Chapter) with 4 of her children, and yours truly, your editor, all had a working day, taking part in filming in Marbella old town on Monday.

It was an early start and an extremely chilly day. While shooting, we had to patiently wait around a lot, waiting for the sun to come through the clouds for better light. Lots of "not doing anything", but plenty of interesting people on set to spend the time with.

The film crew were a very "easy going" bunch from Madrid and a lot of fun.  Sandwiches, soft drinks, and a very nice 3 course meal, Spanish style, in a back street restaurant, enthusiastically received and eaten appreciatively. It certainly helped combat the chilly weather..

The film, which will be shown on Spanish TV in several episodes is a comedy called "Desatame" which roughly means in English "Untie me" So watch out for it if you have Spanish television.

We were scheduled to finish work at 4pm, 5pm or 6pm !!!! (according to the casting agency), We wondered which hour it would be, but it was well after 8pm when we finally packed up and went home.  Oh, the joys of Spanish filming, but what fun !!
